Light Oak has the lightest touch of colour so it’s looks just like beautiful well-seasoned timber. Perfect if you want to refresh your pressure treated deck so it looks like new again or give that very natural finish to new timber while weather protecting it.
The trend for natural wood stains is growing, we have seen a lot of requests to try and keep the ‘fresh wood’ look on decking but with the weather/foot fall protection you would expect from our decking stains. The popular go to is to use a clear, however though this will provide a high level of protection the sun will eventually bleach out the natural colour of the wood. With this in mind we have created our Light Oak decking stain that we feel will give this effect whilst giving your decking the great protection you would expect.
Update old decks or apply to newly laid timbers to add a contemporary, soothing and fresh feel to your garden. Our decking stain is long lasting, durable, flexible and hard wearing. It can be used on a wide variety of wooden garden products including balustrades, rails and buildings. Our decking stain is easy to apply and pet and plant friendly.
Top Tip: if you are applying to previously treated decking ensure you remove as much of this as possible before application to ensure you get the best end result!

The 2.5 litre tins will cover an area up to 20m2 per coat.
This is a protective water-repellent coating. If your timber isn't treated with a preservative then depending on the type of wood and product, you may want to use our Wood Preserver ++ first.
If you are installing new decking we recommend treating any cuts, notches and drilled areas in the timber with our ESP Timber - End Seal Preservative - Clear (also available in Green and Brown)
