Description
Everybody seems to love the fresh look of a new deck but it doesn't last. The elements and dirt soon dulls down the colour of the freshly pressure treated softwood or the freshly sawn hardwood. Decking Stain Clear can prolong your enjoyment of the fresh wood look while protecting the timber from said dirt and rain. Being a clear wood stain, the wood will still age and discolour over time with exposure to sunlight but it does slow the process down.
It is hard wearing but will not last forever, as soon as you see the colour of the wood start to turn you know it's time to slap another coat on or choose one of the other tints or shades from the Decking Stain range.
It can be easily applied by brush, sprayer, or decking paint pad.
This clear treatment is best used as a top TOPCOAT to already coloured wood. It can be applied to pressure treated wood, but the wood will age and discolour over time with exposure to sunlight and will need to be re-treated sooner than if you had chosen a coloured Decking Stain.
Once applied Protek Decking Stain leaves behind a hard durable surface that can withstand everyday foot traffic. It is a water based acrylic and Alkyd hybrid that incorporates a polyurethane dispersion based on linseed oil, a natural renewable resource.
As well as great for deck staining, this waterproofing stain can also be used to protect hardwood and softwood garden furniture, summerhouses etc.
