Tropical coloured bar in Royal Exterior

Tropical coloured bar in Royal Exterior

Holiday Beach-Bar Vibe

Why this look?

Create the ultimate summer social space – a bold palette of bright and contrasting, but considered, tropical colours will transform a standard wooden bar structure, with on-trend vibrant lime green paint leading the way. Fun additions, such as bar stools, planters and creative signage complete the beach-bar feel.

Wooden structures, ceramic pots and furniture are protected from the weather for many years in an easy and achievable creative project that is affordable with a few tins of water based woodcare paint.

Featured colours: Royal Exterior in Flamingo Pink, Giddy Green, Lime Green, Teal , Drawing Room Gold, French Lilac, Lavender, Somerset Blue, Clouded Yellow, Saffron & Miami Vibes

Range we used

Sample pots

All colours are available in sample pots, we have something to suit your taste and budget. Links for this project's colours can be found here...

What did we do?

Choose a theme and select colours to go with it – We went with a tropical beach bar; so strong, zingy, happy colours reminiscent of a Caribbean destination.

The Bar

To make painting easy, keep the colours in blocks, which also adds impact to the look. Painting the stools in stripes brings all the colours together.

Accessories

Make your own accessories to customise an off the shelf item – Blackboards and signage.

Blackboards

Cut hardboard to fit in the doors and paint with Royal Exterior Black. Write a menu with Royal Exterior  Snow using an artist’s brush and embellish with Royal Metallics Gold and other sample pots. Fix in place with instant grab adhesive.

Signs

Use offcuts of wood and a fencing post, but to make things easier they could be attached to a wall or fence. Sample pots or left over paint are great for creating this look.

Dressing the Space

Cocktail ingredients and accessories. Give a new lease of life to plastic pots with Royal Exterior and add a tropical plant to complete the look.
