Home office in Royal Exterior

A home office painted in Royal Exterior

Working from home sweet home

Why this look?

Working from home is now commonplace for many, however, a dedicated workspace should be far from 'common'. An inspiring and functional location outdoors is the dream. Convert a humdrum structure with stunning eco paints and a bit of elbow grease. Light, neutral hues will open up the space and pops of colour will add personality and interest.

Wooden structures are protected from the weather for many years to come in an easy, achievable and creative project; using just a few tins of affordable water based woodcare paint.

Featured colours: Royal Exterior in Smokey Grey, China Clay & Clouded Yellow.

What did we do?

Adapted from a previous project, we changed this summer house into a home office.

Exterior

We chose Royal Exterior Smokey Grey for the outside.  This colour is a classic neutral selected to work seamlessly with the interior colour selection.

The wood was wire-brushed and sanded in preparation for paint application.

Interior

We chose Royal Exterior China Clay to make sure the inside of the office was light and bright, even on a dull day. To break up the walls we used masking tape to create a band around the middle of the building and painted it in mood boosting Royal Exterior Clouded Yellow.

Accessories

We added  some home touches to the space by introducing a few carefully selected special objects including the chair that gave a pop of green.
