Our latest Wood Preserver formulation is propiconazloe free and is suitable for DIY and professional use. It includes the insecticide permethrin so is not to be used on beehives or bee keeping equipment, as it is hazardous to bees. As well as active ingredients against fungi and insects it contains an alkyd binder that forms a primer coat with excellent application properties and a short drying time. Protek Wood Preserver ++ penetrates wood easily and thereby gets deep into inner layers. It is moisture regulating and provides an adhesive surface for subsequent treatment with finishing paints or stains (top coat). It has low VOC and after drying is odourless. FINISH Clear treatment that needs a top coat. LIFESPAN Gives full protection out of ground contact for 5 years. COATS 2-3 required depending on matrix and surface characteristics COVERAGE Effective against wood destroying fungi, blue stain and wood boring insects at 120ml/m (8.3m/litre) DRYING TIME 4-6hrs under normal conditions (20oC/65% rel. humidity). Low temperatures, increased humidity and matrix characteristic may increase drying time. Allow a minimum of 24 hours drying time under normal conditions before application of a top coat. APPLY BY Non-professional / Professional uses: Apply by synthetic brush designed for water-borne products, spreading out thinly and evenly along wood texture. Professional / industrial uses: Dipping or flow coating in special facilities and equipment. Spraying in closed devices. PROCESSING TEMPERATURE 10 – 30°C (matrix and product). DRYING TIME 4-6hrs under normal conditions (20oC/65% rel. humidity). Low temperatures, increased humidity and matrix characteristic may increase drying time. Allow a minimum of 24 hours drying time under normal conditions before application of a top coat. SUITABLE FOR All outside wood, which is not in direct contact with soil or surface water e.g. facades, windows (inner and outer parts), exterior doors (inner and outer parts), carports, shutters and balcony railings, conservatories, windows & doors, summerhouses, gates;log cabins; furniture; joinery & cladding.
