This week’s garden was for Bec a fire fighter, mega fit athlete, band member and mum of twins. We were in awe of how she fits it all in!
Her small garden was unloved until Alan, Katie, David and the Love Your Garden team transformed it into a perfect modern but functional space.
Black has been a colour trend in the garden for a while and we were delighted to see our Royal Exterior Black used on the shed, window boxes, fences, raised beds and the children’s ‘tree house’.
Black is a great background colour for planting- greens and white look particularly good and really ‘pop’ against it but It also allows items to disappear.
The LYG team used screens and clever planting to create 5 zones. These included;
- A workout space
- A play area with a raised platform that not only looked great but gave a birds eye view of the garden for the children
- A storage area for gym equipment and toys.
- A dining area complete with raised beds packed full of easy to grow, pick and eat herbs, fruit and veg.
- A relaxing area with comfy chairs.
