The change of season is in full swing and autumn has its feet well and truly under the table. As the night draws in and the days grow colder it is a month to slow down gardening activity, pottering and tidying as you enjoy the fruits of your labour over the summer months.

Although the flowers in my garden are fading and the trees shedding their leaves, I still have plenty of colour provided by the fencing, shed, trellises and bench that I painted with wood stain over the year. Not only can I relax in the knowledge that my wood is protected for the coming winter months, I can also enjoy the beautiful focal points I have created in the garden.

This months colours reflect the stunning shades of autumn surrounding us in our gardens and countryside.
