As autumn begins there is still plenty of time to enjoy the garden before the weather turns. It’s the perfect month for making sure that external timber is ready for the winter months by carrying out some essential maintenance.

Check and repair all timber giving it a good clean down to remove any dirt and algae. When it’s fully dry and there’s a good spell of weather apply a maintenance coat of wood stain to repel the autumn showers and keep it looking great all through the winter.

Hot colours this month are warm and bright ranging from coffee tones to bright citrus shades and enriching purples.
