Happy New Year! We hope that everyone had a very festive Christmas period and enjoyable New Year celebrations that haven’t left too many headaches or embarrassing photos.

As we all recover from the possible excesses of Christmas there is plenty of work to be done in the garden to burn off some extra calories. It’s the perfect time to keep your gardens clean and tidy and if not completely frozen, to carry on working over soil adding additional compost to make sure your soil is as healthy as possible for the spring.

Snowdrops, crocuses, pansies and hellebores will be blooming away looking gorgeous in this cold winter month. Colours this month reflect the icy frost fringing the garden greenery.
