Our Black Wood Stain is a very traditional colour and one of our most popular black wood finish. It's often used for barns and country house beams. It's strong and solid cover can also be used for monochromatic interiors for a more contemporary look.
This stain can look good on everything; garden structures, planters and furniture. This Ebony wood stain could be used to effectively bring together the industrial past with designs of today such as Derek Jarman's interpretation of a beach house in Dungeness.
Being water based, its is easy to apply and brushed are easy to clean. There aren't any nasty solvents so it's also pet and plant friendly.

Coverage: 1 Litre will cover 8-12m² per coat
Advice: 2 coats are recommended with further coats increasing the solidity of the colour. Wood Stain + Protect is a wood stain coating so will wear off over time. If applying Wood Stain + Protect to a garden building that will be subjected to high levels of exposure to weather, it is recommended that you apply Protek Clear Tough Coat as a top coat.
This is a protective water-repellent coating. If your timber isn't treated with a preservative then depending on the type of wood and product, you may want to use our Wood Preserver ++ first.
